Realm Of The Mad God

Realm of the Mad God is a “co-op fantasy mmo shooter“. It’s a fast-paced, massively multiplayer online game where you run around on a large map and shoot things with other people. As you shoot things, you’ll level up, pick up upgraded items – and eventually die and lose your character forever. Permanent character death is part of the gameplay.

Realm of the Mad God is an insanely addictive and compulsive little game. It’s an excellent procrastination tool.

Canabalt

Canabalt was an extremely popular flash game when it came out, and it’s now on the Chrome Web Store. The gameplay is simple – the only button you have is a jump button. Your character sprints across randomly generated rooftops, gaining speed. The goal is to see how far you can make it before you slip and fall.

Kingdom Rush

Kingdom Rush is a high-quality tower-defense game that’s actually challenging. Even if you’re sick of the tower-defense genre in general, this one is worth checking out. Kingdom Rush contains a large amount of different enemies with their own strengths and weaknesses, many different tower types, spells for the player, a tech tree to spend points in between missions, and more.

Entanglement

Entanglement is a slick, HTML 5-based puzzle game, complete with Zen-like relaxing music. It’s so good that Google once shipped it with Chrome by default. In Entanglement, you place etched tiles onto a hexagonal grid, extending the path as much as possible without running into a wall or dead end.

Gravity Duck

Gravity Duck is a platform game in which you play a duck that flips gravity. Instead of jumping, as in a typical platformer, you flip gravity back and forth to make your way across levels and pick up the golden egg.

This game uses the same gameplay gimmick as VVVVVV, another puzzle-platform game.

ImmorTall

ImmorTall is different from the other games here – it’s more of an art game. In ImmorTall, you play an alien that lands on Earth and has its first contact with humanity. It only takes a few minutes to play, but it’s well worth your time.

ImmorTall is almost guaranteed to provoke an emotional reaction.

Dragon Age Legends: Remix 01

How to Secure Your Google Account with Google Authenticator

Authenticator

Google Authenticator protects your Google account from keyloggers and password theft. With two-factor authentication, you’ll need both your password and an authentication code to log in. The Google Authenticator app runs on Android, iPhone, iPod, iPad and BlackBerry devices.
We’ve mentioned using two-factor authentication with a text or voice message in the past, but the Google Authenticator app can be more convenient. It displays a code that changes every thirty seconds. The code is generated on your device, so you can use the app even if your device is offline.

Activating Two-Step Authentication

First, click your email address or name at the top right corner of any Google page and select Account Settings.

Next, click the Edit link to the right of 2-Step Verification in the Security section.

Google makes us set up phone-based verification, even though we’ll be using the app. The phone number we enter now will become our backup phone number later. You can receive the code via a text message or voice phone call — after receiving it, enter the code and click Next to continue.

You’ll be asked whether you want to remember the computer or not. To minimize the hassle of two-step authentication, you can mark computers as trusted when you log in. If you do, you won’t have to enter an authentication code on that computer for the next 30 days.

The last screen activates two-factor authentication. You’ll be forced to log back in after activating it.

Enabling Google Authenticator

After logging back in, you can click your type of mobile device to start setting up Google Authenticator. (Click “Do This Later” if you’re asked to set up application-specific passwords at this point.)

The page provides instructions for downloading the Google Authenticator app on your device — on Android and iPhone, you can get it from the Market or App Store.


After launching the app, you can use the Scan a Barcode feature and scan the QR code from your screen or click the “Can’t scan the barcode?” link on the page and use the Manually Add Account feature to type it in.

After adding the account to Google Authenticator, you’ll have to type in the generated code. If the code is about to expire, wait for it to change before starting to type it.

After it’s verified, click the “Save” button.

The phone number you entered earlier becomes your backup phone number. You can use this number to receive an authentication code if you ever lose access to the Google Authenticator app or reformat your device.

Printing Backup Codes

Google offers printable backup codes you can log in with, even if you lose access to both your mobile application and backup phone number.

Print them out and keep them safe — you’ll be locked out of your Google account if you lose all three authentication methods.

Each code can only be used once, and all existing codes will become invalid if you click the “Generate New Codes” button.

Creating Application-Specific Passwords

Two-step authentication breaks email clients, chat programs and anything else that uses your Google account’s password. You’ll have to create an application-specific password for each application that doesn’t support two-step authentication.

Provide a name for each application to create a password for it.

Enter the provided password into the application. You don’t need to remember this password; you can always create a new one later.

These passwords grant access to your entire Google account and skip the two-factor authentication, so keep them safe. You can revoke them from this page if they’re ever compromised.

Logging In

The next time you sign in, you’ll have to provide the current code from your Google Authenticator app.

Some people love to see the Close (the red X) button on every tabs, but some hate it. Whatever is it, you can configure it to your preferences via the browser.tabs.closeButtons setting.
Default: 1

Modified values:

• 0 – display a close button on the active tab only
• 1- display close buttons on all tabs
• 2- don’t display any close buttons
• 3- display a single close button at the end of the tab strip

Autofill Address in URL Bar

Other than the smart location feature, you can also get your URL bar to autofill the address as you type the URL. Type in the filter box with browser.urlbar.autofill, double click it to change the default Boolean from false to true.
 

Adjust Number Of Suggestions

When you start typing in the location bar, a drop-down list of suggestion URLs will be shown. If you want it to show more than 12 suggestions (12 is the default), you can adjust the browser.urlbar.maxRichResults keys and get it to show the number you want.

The Scrolling Tabs

When you opened many tabs, Firefox will not keep on reducing the tab width. Instead, it shows a scrolling bar so that the minimum width (100px) is conserved and you can scroll to find your tabs. If you are one of those who don’t like the scrolling tab function and prefer Firefox to show all the tabs, regardless how small it is, here’s what you should do.

Set the value of browser.tabs.tabMinWidth to 0 to disable it. Similarly, if you want Firefox to display more tabs before showing the scrolling button, you can reduce the default value to a lower value, say 75 pixels.

Disable Delay Time When Installing Add-on

Every time you wanted to install a Firefox add-on, you will have to wait for several seconds before the actual installation starts. If you are tired of waiting, you can turn the functionsecurity.dialog_enable_delay off so that the installation will start immediately upon clicking.
